This is a playful, ecstatic, spiritual, simple and deep collection of poems that will brighten your day and make you aware of the importance of love in life.Joyce Akesson, author of The Invitation, Love's Thrilling Dimensions and Majnun Leyla: Poems about Passion.
We need to know if this is YOUR work, or Hafiz's. If they are Landinsky's own words, decorated with the Hafiz name for status, then it's altogether a different matter. Landinsky, you haven't made this easy. Landinsky has been described as a reinterpretor of Hafiz' poetry, and that these represent more his own writings than any of Hafiz's compositions. Carify, could you. This is an important LEGAL question, because we, the readers, are left without information about whether it is permissible to quote these writings in print of public performance. Yet the book is also presented as a representation of Hafiz's writings. If they are the writings of Hafiz, they are about 650 years old and public domain.
Sort of "in the style of" Rumi. Wonderful, evocative, deeply spiritual and terribly human poetry. Be aware this is a not a translation; more like a paraphrase.
Donna P. I always have to buy several volumes of Hafiz as I can never bear to even loan my copy. Savage, Author of The Man and The Shark: A Modern Day Fable of Awakening and Rebirth HAFIZ through Ladinsky brightens every moment with another fine rendering of estactic poetry. One can only laugh and feel the joy flowing from this collection of poems.
It came quickly and in good shape.I have nothing bad to say. I'm very happy with my purchase.
